The Dangers of not getting 6 month cleanings and checkups

There are reasons for going to the dentist at least every 6 months. First, getting regular teeth cleanings and checkups reduce the risk of getting new cavities and second it reduces the risk of periodontal gum disease which effects many Americans. It also allows the dentist the opportunity to stop any small problems from progressing to larger problems if corrected right away.
