Questions to ask when selecting a Dental Insurance Plan

When selecting a dental plan you should ask these questions.

 

  1. Is their access to any dentist either in network or out of network ? If the plan constraints you to where you can go, then why get it.
  2. Are their any waiting periods ? If the plan has waiting periods, then why get it.
  3. What are the maximum benefits in dollar amount covered per year ? If the annual maximum is low under $2000, then why get it.
  4.  Are their deductibles and how much in dollar amount ? If the deductible is high, then why get it.
  5. What percentage do they cover 50%, 80%,100% etc. ?  If the percentage is low like 50% then why get it.
